Eric Carle Mashup

This combines illustrations from Eric Carle's books with photos from his museum and the children and grown-ups who visit and enjoy his pictures. As you go through and click on each bit of the mosaic, the picture grows in size like mushrooms in the rain.

FLICKR GALLERY

Much to my amazement, FLICKR had illustrations by Arthur Rackham whose work as a renowned illustrator of children's books is now sadly disappearing from library shelves.

Green Tiger press kept some of his illustrations alive as posters and cards. His illustrations of trolls and fairies are timeless.

Day One

New Favorite Dad Titles for the Picture Book Crowd
Building with Dad written by Carol Nevius
Illustrated by Bill Thomson
Truly amazing perspectives are achieved in this welcome addition to the picture book collection.
A boy and his builder dad follow a school's construction. The construction site is turned into a paradisical ride as the boy gets to sit in the earthmover's seat during a break, watch dump trucks, earth movers and power tools in action as his school is being built. A strong addition to story times.

The Trucker written by Brenda Weatherby
Illustrated by Mark Weatherby
Early one morning while playing with his red semi-flatbed rig, a young boy falls asleep and dreams a trucking adventure only to wake up and find himself spending the day with his dad...a trucker of course!
